$1 million settlement against major sub-prime residential lender that made a construction loan to our elderly, vulnerable client. Management level branch employees chose her contractor and siphoned off loan proceeds leaving her with a mortgage payment, unfinished rental units, and a tarp covering the  back wall of her three story home, over the winter.   Settlement included $600,000 cash and release of $400,000 note and mortgage.
